A Note from a Coach

17 Jul

Sheila Snell (pictured on the left) is head coach for the Rhythmic Gymnastics team. She has this to say about their experience here at the National Games:

“The Rhythmic Gymnastics Team has experienced such a warm welcome from the City of London.  Our facility was awesome and decorated beautifully! As each of our athletes passed through the arch to perform they felt very special. The team was well prepared, so a huge thanks to their home coaches. With Dr. Laura’s help we were all prepared to do our personal best and WE DID IT!

We appreciate the volunteer support starting with our own designated assistants of Sarah and Elaine. All volunteers from Scott and Joelle though their entire team, ensured we wanted for nothing.

We reached a milestone at these games. Jane Perera (Level 4) and coach Dee Neukomm have now attended four national Games in the past 12 years. Jane has competed in all levels of rhythmic gymnastics starting with Level 1 in Sydney Nova Scotia, Level 2 in Prince Albert, Sask., Level 3 in Brandon, Manitoba and now Level 4 in London Ontario. Way to go Jane!”
